I took my first yoga class last year with Emily. I was very nervous because I felt out of shape in a "curvier" body. Emily made me feel very comfortable. During the class she would check in on me and ask me how I was feeling. Emily gave gentle suggestions if I needed to make adjustments to my body positions. She is kind and soft spoken which definitely helped me feel calmer. 
If you are new to yoga and are thinking of taking a class please try Emily! You will be hooked, and your body and mind will thank you.

I took my first yoga class with Emily four years ago. Immediately I liked the way she keeps her class size small so that we all feel seen and important. It seems that no matter how each person in the class is feeling, she knows exactly what we all need- like extra core work or a longer savasana! Her instruction is really clear and she is serious about listening to our bodies but we also have fun, too. I have learned so much about myself over the past several years that I have been inspired to join a Yoga Teacher Training myself. Emily has been enthusiastic and encouraging as I continue on my yoga journey.

As a person who would not be considered flexible or even an athletic I heard about Emily's restorative yoga class from a friend and I decided to try it. This class was like nap and quiet time for adults with aromatherapy towels, lots of blankets and yoga props. I don't think I knew how much I needed that class, now I can't wait to go again. It has helped me stick to my self care routine and learn ways to relax through breath and stretching.  I have even made new friends in the meantime.
